Kuku and Underrated TNC’s Adventure in TI6

Underrated Teams Dominated the TI6
The battle for the Aegis Cup TI6 made history when Wings Gaming won First place. They took home the Aegis Cup by defeating underdogs Digital Chaos (BO5) and  TI5 champs Evil Geniuses (BO3). DC won second place, while the EG got third. Arguably the most surprising thing that happened in the event was when TNC Pro Team took out fan favorites in Seattle. Before the event, TNC proved that they can also be among high tier groups by defeating numerous teams in the world.

History in the making
They made their way into the qualifier teams of the big event. However, they are not the only Philippine team that made it. Team Execration also fought their way into the Wild Cards. Unfortunately, they were eliminated before they could reach the group stages. TNC did not stop from getting into the main event despite being the only Filipino team left. The biggest upset in the main event was when they defeated the Manila Major Champion Team OG and dropped them from the tournament.

Kuku’s Interview
In an interview, Carlo “Kuku” Palad said that they are preparing for heroes they will choose before their next upcoming matches. They checked their errors in their last fights. This helps them fix mistakes and be well prepared for their next battle. He mentioned that they huddle to get hyped up and boost more confidence before every match starts. Kuku also said that they speak Tagalog (Philippine language) when things get hot in the match. We asked him which hero in DOTA`2 he would date; “Rylai (Crystal Maiden)”, he answered.

Great start for the Filipino Teams
Who would have thought that an underrated team like TNC would defeat the powerful 9k mmr player Miracle- along with his teammates in OG?  The Philippine teams made a great start in TI6. They will be known even more in the next tournaments because of this. They made a record on their way to the top 8. Who knows? Maybe in the major tournaments they will be invited directly without having to go through qualifiers. The Pinoy teams had a great start in TI6. They left a mark in the history of DOTA 2 and inspired other gamers that want to be like them.
