NP: EternalEnvy is now a mid player. Oh... and Aui_2000 is his new team-mate
The line-up for Jacky 'EternaLEnVy' Mao's new team NP has been published on their website, and it includes a player he kicked during his C9 era.
Five players who all played under the Cloud9 banner at some point in their careers are now all united in Jacky 'EternaLEnVy' Mao's own team, Team NP.
The fact that Aui_2000 is one of the players who will be competing alongside EternalEnvy in his new team is probably the biggest surprise, given that in January 2015 EternalEnvy suddenly kicked Aui_2000 from Cloud9.
At the time EternalEnvy admitted the manner in which he kicked Aui_2000 and Johan 'pieliedie' Åström was "awful" but that he did not regret his decision. Cloud9 went on to replace them withRasmus 'MiSeRy' Fillipsen and Johan 'BigDaddyN0tail' Sundstein, who both played for the team at TI5 before it was disbanded.
Aui_2000 and EternalEnvy were brought together once again at Team Secret, with Aui_2000 assisting the team in a coaching capacity during TI6.
Team Secret underperformed at TI6 and in the recent drop period EternalEnvy departed the team along with coaches Theeban '1437' Siva and Kurtis 'Aui_2000' Ling. The Canadian trio are now all part of EternalEnvy's Team NP's active roster, with Arif 'MojoStormStout' Anwar and Avery 'SVG' Silverman completing the line-up.
Interestingly MSS and SVG, who have been playing for Shazam prior to team NP, were both part of 1437's C9 roster post-TI5 which was assembled after EternalEnvy's C9 was disbanded.
The fact Aui_2000 and EternalEnvy are reunited should be surprising enough, but that is not the only surprise Team NP is bringing to the table. Avid Dota 2 fans should notice that Team NP's roster does not actually include an out-and-out mid player.
Aui_2000 was most known for position 4 during his Cloud9 days, however he will continue to play as a Carry. Aui was a Carry player early on his career, but he had mixed results after trying to return to the role during his brief time at Digital Chaos post-C9. With MSS on the offlane and 1437 and SVG as supports, it means - and this was confirmed on the Team NP website - that EternalEnvy will be NP's mid-player!
