The post-TI6 Reshuffle: God to captain Empire, Alohadance to carry

With TI6 in the past now, Dota fans everywhere turn their attentions to the future, and with future comes change. The Post-TI roster shuffle is always one of the most eventful times in the Dota calendar. Keep an eye out here for all the rumours, transfers, and finalised team rosters.

Key dates and facts of the Roster Lock/Drop Period
For the coming season Valve has split the roster lock into two parts. The first part will be the "drop period", which allows players to leave or be removed from the team they were registered to last season. The drop period will last until September 4th. After that date players can no longer be removed, but players may be added all the way until the roster lock on the 18th September. Furthermore, substitutes do not need to be named before the rosters lock.

Saturday 10th September

Yao 'Maybe' Lu might be the only player to survive the reshuffle for LGD, with multiple sources pointing towards the Chinese organisation bringing in three players from CDEC.Youth Chen 'xz / xiaozhi' Zezhi, Chen 'Victoria' Guanhong plus  Wang Chun 'Ame' Yu. The fifth player is said to be an upcoming high MMR (7K) player in China, which would be fitting given that is exactly how Maybe joined LGD Gaming in the first place. This has all yet to be confirmed by the organisation and none of the players have joined LGD's MRP.

Thursday 8th September

Jacky 'EternaLEnVy' Mao has started his own team called Team NP, which reunited him with former Cloud9 team-mate Kurtis 'Aui_2000' Ling.

TI6 champions Wings Gaming have managed to keep their entire roster for the coming season, with all five re-registering for the organisation's MRP team.

Wings Roster remains unchanged
Zhang 'Innocence / y`' Yiping (Captain)
 Zhou 'Blink / Zy.cn / 跳刀跳刀丶' Yang
 Li 'iceice' Peng
Chu 'Shadow' Zeyu
Zhang 'Zrd / Faith Bian' RuidaEHOME still remain two short of a full roster. Both Wang 'Old chicken' Zhiyong andYang 'Eleven (节奏魔王)' Wei Ren rejoined EHOME's MRP team, along with new additionLiu 'Sylar' Jiajun . Sylar was involved in a contract dispute last transfer window with his previous team LGD Gaming, and now joins the team as a replacement for the departed Daryl 'iceiceice' Koh.  Lu 'Fenrir' Chao and Zhi Cheng 'LaNm' Zhang have yet to re-register for EHOME.

Fnatic have recruited Demon, eyyou and Raven who competed for TNC at TI6 and placed top 8. Fnatic were down to only Mushi and Ohaiyo after three of their former roster went their seperate ways.

 Chai 'Mushi' Yee Fung
 Chong Xin 'Ohaiyo' Khoo
 Nico 'Eyyou' Barcelon
 Jimmy 'DeMoN' Ho

Only Jonathan 'Loda' Berg and Jerry 'EGM' Lundkvist remain on the Alliance roster according to their announcement, following the departure of Gustav 's4' Magnusson, Henrik 'AdmiralBulldog' Ahnberg and Joakim 'Akke' Akterhall from the active roster. However, with the WESG qualifiers coming up we may have some clue as to which players might be joining Alliance by looking at the team registered by Loda. (pictured below)

Monday 5th September - End of Drop Period

The Drop Period for this Reshuffle has now ended. Teams now have until September 18th to add new players.

TNC Pro Team have managed to keep the services of Samson E. 'Sam H' Hidalgo and Carlo 'QQ / Kuku' Palad, and have rebuilt their team around the two players from TNC's TI6 line-up.

 Samson E. 'Sam H' Hidalgo
 John Linuel 'Teehee' Abanto

Sunday 4th September

Today is the final day before the end of the drop period and last night Evil Geniuses released the final two players remaining on their MRP; captain Peter 'ppd' Dager and offlaner Saahil 'Universe' Arora.

Both players were at PAX West in Seattle yesterday playing games with fans at the AMD booth. This means that Evil Geniuses have "released" all five of their roster who competed at TI6. Given MVP Phoenix's QO, Febby and Dubu simply leaving MVP's MRP while they negociate a new contract, the EG boys could well be doing the same thing. However, Clinton 'Fear' Loomis taking a step back from the active roster remains a strong rumour.

Friday 2nd September

Team Liquid now have two vacancies. Mid player Adrian 'FATA-' Trinks will be taking a break from competitive Dota 2, stating he hopes to rekindle his passion and drive to compete and to win games. This now leaves Liquid lacking a mid player as well as a support player following  Jesse 'JerAx' Vainikka's move to rivals OG.

Wednesday 31st August

Rumours of Gustav 's4' Magnusson joining OG have proved to be correct, and the Swede was announced as one of three new additions to the double Major champions. The other two are Team Liquid's support player  Jesse 'JerAx' Vainikka and Anathan 'Ana' Pham, an Australian player who played half a dozen games for Invictus Gaming over the summer. This completes OG's new roster, and the news was published officially on their Facebook page

Tuesday 30th August

Ten Chinese teams released their entire rosters today including LGD Gaming, CDEC and Vici Gaming. However, it turns out the decision was a joint one made by the Chinese organisations to avoid poaching and bidding wars between clubs. More on this story here.

compLexity Gaming's introduction of three Swedish players; Chessie, Limmp and Handsken to their roster aided them in several high finishes, their best 5-6th at the Shanghai Major. Results dipped in the run-up to TI6, and a premature exit in the Wild Card at TI6 itself saw them crash out and not reach the main event.

The team has now released both Linus 'Limmp' Blomdin and Simon 'Handsken' Haag who will "pursue competitive opportunities back in the European region". Rasmus 'Chessie' Blomdin also steps down but will continue to stream for the organisation while he recovers from health issues. (Source)

Monday 29th August

Daryl 'iceiceice' Koh's hints about needing a new SEA mid player might have been more than just banter following the Singaporean's departure from the EHOME MRP. Iceiceice only joined the team in the last reshuffle period, but apart from flashes of brilliance at TI and in the Chinese domestic scene, the new roster failed to live up to the success of its predecessor. If he does officlally depart EHOME it will not be extremely unexpected and hints on social media point towards the possibility he is forming a multi-national team outside China.

Evil Geniuses was the team who made him into a star, but for Sumail 'SumaiL' Syed Hassan the journey may be over in EG. The Evil Geniuses mid player not only left the team's MRP page, but also removed all reference to the team on his Twitch and Twitter profile, leaving only a profile photo of him sitting beside Clinton 'Fear' Loomis. Could he really be on his way out?

Sunday 28th August

The Alliance's TI3 winning roster that reassembled at the end of last year has now once again split. Following the decision by Gustav 's4' Magnusson to continue his career in another team, team-mate Henrik 'AdmiralBulldog' Ahnberg also decided it was time for a change.

One of the founding members Joakim 'Akke' Akterhall will also be leaving the active roster, but based on the announcement he may be considering staying on in the organisation in another role. This now leaves only Loda and EGM on the active roster. (Source)

Thursday 25th August

Following speculation from tweets, an official announcement has confirmed that  David 'Moo' Hull has been kicked from the roster and will be replaced by  David 'Moonmeander' Tan, as well as Blitz joining the team as a coach. Given the previous rosters performance at TI, there will surely be high expectations of Moon, but he has demonstrated his world class ability playing a pivotal role in both of OG's Major victories. It will be interesting to see the impact this has on the North-American scene as a whole.

Digital Chaos's line-up:
Roman 'Resolut1on' Fominok
Omar 'w33haa' Aliwi
David 'Moonmeander' Tan
Martin 'Saksa' Sazdov

Meracle will play as a carry while RR will be the team's offlaner. The two new members of the squad replaced the previous members Cast and Bokerino. Mineski's new lineup is now preparing for their first LAN tournament Southeast Asia Championship by MPGL, which will take place at the Selangor Cyber Games in Malaysia next month.

Fnatic are down to the bare bones and have room to make some new additions to their roster after 343, MidOne and Dj have all officially left the team. Djardel 'chrissy / DJ' Mampusti stated in the official post on the Fnatic website that he wished to rest and spend more time in the Philippines, having lived in Malaysia for the last 2 years. MidOne plans to continue competing while 343 wants to take a break.

Execration: Former Fnatic support  Djardel 'chrissy / DJ' Mampusti was spotted playing with fellow Pinoys in team  Execration hours ago against Rex Regum Qeon in the PRO Dota Cup Series. In  Kimuel B. 'Leumik / kim0' Rodis facebook account, the team captain said that the new lineup with DJ and new member named Gabbi on it looks promising. He posting a photo with caption, "I think this lineup is fine."

Assuming that Execration acquired DJ, the team's complete lineup would be:
Abed 'Abed' Yusop
Kimuel B. 'Leumik / kim0' Rodis
Timothy 'TIMS' Randrup
Djardel 'chrissy / DJ' Mampusti
Kim Villafuerte 'Gabby' Santos, former player of  Acion Arena

Monday 22nd August

Team Liquid: (Possible change?): Liquid have kept their roster the same through two reshuffle periods, but there might be a possibility of change for the upcoming season. The team was down to participate in the WCA EU Qualifiers which start tomorrow, but was replaced last minute by Elements One earlier today due to Liquid's new lineup being "not ready" according to the organisers. Are Liquid simply still enjoying their holidays or could we see incoming changes? Share your thoughts.TNC Pro Team: The only player left in TNC,  Nico 'Eyyou' Barcelon, has now followed his four other team-mates out the door, giving rise to the high probability they are in the process of looking or have found a new organisation to sponsor their team.

Sunday 21st August

Vega Squadron become one of the first teams to confirm their roster for the upcoming season, and Bogdan 'Iceberg' Vasilenko will be the fifth and final player (Source). The organisation lost both Aleksey 'Solo' Berezin and Vladimir 'no[o]ne' Minenko after the team failed to reach TI6.

However, earlier today they also announced the addition of former VP captain Artem 'fng' Barshack, who will take on leadership duties once for his new team.

The new Vega Squadron includes four new players, with CemaTheSlayer the only surviving player:

Rostislav 'fn / Recovery' Lozovoi

Andrey 'Mag' Chipenko
Artem 'fng' Barshack (Captain)
Krivulya 'Cema' Semion

Saturday 20th August

LGD-Gaming's results at TI6 were far from expectations, especially considering they were one of six direct invites. Sun 'xh / Agressif' Zheng, who joined from CDEC in the last reshuffle in March left the team's MRP earlier today, which now leaves the Chinese team without a carry player. Agressif was unable to reproduce at LGD the kind of form he enjoyed at the last TI with CDEC, and could look to return to his former team.

Friday 19th August

Demon, Kuku and Raven have all left TNC's MRP

TNC Pro Team: TNC Pro Team, a top 8 finisher at TI has seen three players leave their MRP today.  Marc Polo Luis 'Raven / polo' Fausto and  Carlo 'QQ / Kuku' Palad left first, followed by captain and drafter  Jimmy 'DeMoN' Ho. The decision comes as a big surprise given their performance at TI6 securing wins against world-class opposition such as OG and the eventual winners Wings. It could be the roster plans to move to another organisation or perhaps bring in reinforcements from another team.
UPDATE  Samson E. 'Sam H' Hidalgo has also left the MRP, leaving only  Nico 'Eyyou' Barcelon on the roster. Given four have left it seems highly feasible they are on the hunt for a new organisation.

TNC's Demon, Kuku and Raven all have departed the team's MRP

Team Secret: Jacky 'EternaLEnVy' Mao left Team Secret's MRP. This was previously hinted at by his removal of references to the team on his twitter bio and banner. He also posted fairly cryptic messages to the chat during his recent stream on Panda.tv in which he said: "last year I wanted to play with an all-star team, this year I'm just going to play with people I like" (via Reddit user xxaconexx).

However, Secret manager CyborgMatt stated Secret have yet to make changes to their TI6 roster. Later in the day coaches Theeban '1437' Siva and  Kurtis 'Aui_2000' Ling also both left the organisation's page.
Execration: Two players depart Wild-card 3rd placers  Execration in the form of Fernando 'Nando' Mendoza and RR, although nothing has come from the team it has been revealed by a news source with direct reference to the team's management.MVP Phoenix: Even after their 5th-6th at The International 6, MVP Phoenix were one of the first teams to be the subject of rumours following whispers that Sang-Don 'FoREv' Lee would be leaving the team. However, it is Pyo 'MentalProtector' Noa who has departed their MRP, despite comments from QO that he wanted to continue with the same roster.Fnatic: If Djardel 'chrissy / DJ' Mampusti goes through with his decision to depart Fnatic's MRP, it will be a massive blow to the SEA team given he has been their top performer. DJ/Chrissy was the only Filipino player on the roster and with players leaving both TNC and Xtcn we could be about to see a brand new Filipino team.Virtus.Pro: VP who missed out on TI6 completely after not making it out of the EU Regionals have now confirmed their roster for the upcoming season, and it includes two form Vega players Solo and noOne.

Hao's post on Chinese website Weibo announcing he will be taking a break

Newbee: The Chinese team's carry player Chen 'Hao' Zhihao posted on Chinese social media site Weibo (where he has 250,000 followers) that he will be taking a six month break from competitive Dota stating he was exhausted after competing for so many years. However, his comments should be taken with a pinch of salt given he said a similar thing after a dissappointing Shanghai Major back in March, but then still then choosing to carry on playing. Newbee's form dipped at TI6 despite a 2nd place at Epicenter and a 3rd place at the Manila Major earlier in the year.Digital Chaos were runners-up at TI6 and Roman 'Resolut1on' Fominok's gamble of moving to NA to join the team proved to be a stroke of genius. The young Ukranian shared pictures from the Navi offices in Kiev earlier this week, giving rise to the rumour that he could join Natus Vincere.
