Miracle- 2.0? Pub player Ana joins new star-studded OG lineup

A new chapter for OG begins today, as three new players join the squad. Top midlaner Gustav 's4' Magnusson joins the team alongside the prodigal support Jesse 'JerAx' Vainikka, who left Team Liquid earlier today.

Anathan 'Ana' Pham

The new roster brings a plethora of experience and high individual skill. It features the relatively unheard of Anathan 'Ana' Pham, a high skilled pub player with a small professional background. It seems like an all too familiar story for OG to recruit a high MMR pub player and transition them into a professional.

Ana has brief professional experience for Invictus Gaming, where he played the mid role, which could result in S4 moving to the offlane. The team won the National Electronic Arena 2016 last month, beating TI hopefuls Newbee 2-0 in the finals.

During the post TI shuffle, Andreas 'Cr1t-' Nielsen, David 'Moonmeander' Tan and Amer 'Miracle-' Al-Barkawi all left the team, leaving space for new blood in the squad.

OG released the following statement via their Facebook page.

Today marks the start of a new chapter at OG. We are pleased to announce the fresh faces that will be joining our ranks for this upcoming Dota 2 season.

Both veterans in the Dota 2 arena, Jesse ‘JerAx’ Vainikka and Gustav ‘s4’ Magnusson will be sporting the OG green this season. JerAx, a god amongst men with his roaming support plays, and s4 “son of Magnus”, feared playmaker by his own right, will bring with them a wealth of experience to add to our arsenal.

Finally, we are excited to welcome our newest member to the OG family, Anathan ‘Ana’ Pham. Ana has dedicated himself to the game, spending time in China honing his skill on the Invictus Gaming roster. The young blood is ready to take on the west and will complete our lineup.

The old OG roster is the only team to win two Valve events, will this rejuvenated roster be able to live up to what is already a mighty legacy?
