It's not a Secret anymore! Team Secret's 2016/2017 roster revealed
The scene is unstable as ever, with the removal of 3 OG players earlier
this week. Tonight, Team Secret have announced their new roster.
Following a last place finish at TI6, we were aware that Jacky 'EternaLEnVy' Mao had left the team according to the Major Registration Page, alongside coaches Theeban '1437' Siva and Kurtis 'Aui_2000' Ling. How different is this new line-up?
The NEW Roster
The new Team Secret roster is as follows:
1. Pyo 'MentalProtector' Noa
2. Yeik Nai 'MidOne' Zheng
3. Sang-Don 'FoREv' Lee
4. Clement 'Puppey' Ivanov
5. Johan 'pieliedie' Åström
The new line-up features two memebers of the old MVP Phoenix squad, Pyo 'MentalProtector' Noa and offlaner Sang-Don 'FoREv' Lee. Yeik Nai 'MidOne' Zheng joins after leaving Fnatic, where he consistently placed 6th and above at the Shanghai Major, Manila Major and TI6.
With these additions to the team, Team Secret says goodbye to Arteezy, as well as Bulba and EternalEnvy.
Old Team Secret
2016 had been a dry year for the team so far, with their major success coming from their first place finish at the Shanghai Major. However, prompt roster changes afterwards saw Rasmus 'MiSeRy' Fillipsen and Omar 'w33haa' Aliwi depart from the team.
This left room for EG boys Saahil 'Universe' Arora and Artour 'Arteezy' Babaev in the roster. However, Universe left the team after a short while. A poor performance at the Manila Major saw Team Secret opting for a straight swap with replacement EG offlaner, Sam 'Bulba' Sosale, where we find their most recent complete roster.\
